3 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Edwin Diaz was placed on the paternity list prior to Wednesday night's game against the Miami Marlins. Relief pitcher Jake Reed was called up to take his place on the roster. With Diaz absent, Trevor May figures to take over the closer role. Diaz has been somewhat ineffective of late, with a 5.17 ERA in his last 15 games, but he still is very safely established as the team's closer, and fantasy managers can expect him to resume the role when he is reinstated.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
