Edwin Encarnacion Belts Fifth Dinger Of The Year
6 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Edwin Encarnacion continued his stellar power stroke in Monday's loss to the Indians. He capped his night with a two-run shot in the eighth inning, bringing the club within two runs, but it was too little too late for the M's in this one. Encarnacion finished up going 2-for-4 with a double to go along with the home run, and he is now batting .298 with 14 RBI on the young season. Encarnacion has been getting a routine day of rest about once a week to help keep the aging veteran fresh, and it's certainly helped so far as the notoriously slow starter has been terrific in the early going.
