6 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Edwin Encarnacion is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros. Jay Bruce will start at first base and bat fourth while Daniel Vogelbach serves as the designated hitter and bats fifth. Bruce is carrying a middling .192 average, but he already has seven home runs and 13 RBI on the young season.
