5 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion will ride the bench in Game 5 of the ALCS. The veteran is having a brutal series, going only 1-for-15 (.067) through the first four games. Encarnacion will take a seat due to brutal career numbers against the Astros expected starter, Justin Verlander. In 41 career at-bats against the veteran pitcher, Encarnacion is hitting only .122. The Yankees offense has been shut down the past few games and will need the middle of their order to produce. But Encarnacion does not have a favorable matchup for Game 5.--Joey C - RotoBaller
