Edwin Encarnacion, Nick Madrigal Both Leave Early Due To Injury
4 years agoThe Chicago White Sox took a double whammy during Tuesday’s game against the Brewers, losing both designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion and second baseman Nick Madrigal due to injury. In addition to both being substituted for, it appears both sustained left shoulder ailments as Encarnacion has already been tagged to have a sore left shoulder, with Madrigal’s injury status listing a left shoulder injury. Zack Collins replaced Encarnacion at the DH spot, with Danny Mendick taking over for Madrigal. Chicago is already short-handed offensively with Tim Anderson (groin/hip) on the injured list, as the team now awaits updates on two additional significant bats. Their next chance to return to the lineup comes Wednesday against right-hander Adrian Houser of Milwaukee.
