6 years agoFormer Washington Nationals starting pitcher Edwin Jackson has opted out of his minor league contract with the Nationals and will be released on Saturday. Jackson had a 3.40 ERA in 10 starts for AAA Syracuse in 2018. Jackson has pitched for 13 different organizations in a 15-year professional career, so don't rule out the possibility of him popping up on some other team's 40-man roster sometime this season. That being said, it is very hard to imagine any kind of path to fantasy relevance for the journeyman at this point in his career.--Phil Goyette
