Zach Eflin Pitches Well In Colorado
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin survived his start in Coors Field, giving up three runs (two earned) in six innings pitched. Eflin cruised through five scoreless innings before the sixth inning where an error, a hit and a three-run homer put a damper on his final line. For the season, Eflin has posted solid fantasy numbers in three of his four starts and there's reason to believe the numbers could get better. In a small sample size this year his BABIP, strand rate and home-run-to-fly-ball rate are all above his career averages. Those numbers all should normalize as the season goes on and Eflin could be better than he's shown so far. Eflin should be owned in 12-team leagues but could be worth an add in shallower leagues as well ahead of a two-start week versus the Mets and Marlins.
