Ehire Adrianza Drives In Two Saturday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Ehire Adrianza went 2-for-5 with a run and two RBI in his team's 14-9 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Saturday. The solid game raises Adrianza's batting average to .262 with a .727 OPS, four homers, 24 runs, 19 RBI, and four stolen bases on the season. The 28-year-old opened the season as a reserve infielder but he ascended to a starting role after Miguel Sano was demoted to the minors. Adrianza has been a pleasant surprise for the Twins but he may end up returning to a bench role when the team activates Jorge Polanco from suspension.
