Eight Ravens Miss Week 4's Opening Practice
6 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens had a season-high eight players miss the week's first practice for various reasons. Injuries kept cornerback Anthony Averett (hamstring), cornerback Brandon Carr (knee), defensive tackle Willie Henry (abdomen), backup quarterback Lamar Jackson (illness), left tackle Ronnie Stanley and outside linebacker Terrell Suggs (knee) from practicing. While the severity of the injuries are currently unknown, the status of Stanley and Suggs are the most concerning for the Ravens as they are important cogs for the team. Starting safety Eric Weddle and wide receiver John Brown also did not participate in practice, but their absences were not injury related. On a positive note, tight end Hayden Hurst (foot), along with defensive tackle Michael Pierce (foot) and inside linebacker C.J. Mosley (knee) were able to practice after missing the game against the Denver Broncos. Additionally, backup safety Anthony Levine (hamstring) was a limited participant.
