Elgton Jenkins Will Miss Week 3 Due To Injury
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers left tackle Elgton Jenkins (ankle) has been deemed inactive for Sunday's contest against San Francisco. Jenkins' absence is a hefty one for the Packers, who will have to counteract a highly skilled 49ers defense. While Green Bay's immediate plan to replace Jenkins isn't clear, Yosh Nijman could step in for his first NFL start. Without Jenkins protecting his blindside, quarterback Aaron Rodgers could face a long evening of running from former Pro Bowl defensive end Nick Bosa, who has amassed four quarterback hits and three sacks in his first two games. The result could be quicker passes from Rodgers and/or an increased focus on the run game in an effort to minimize the impact of Jenkins' absence. His next chance at suiting up comes Week 4 vs. the Steelers.
