5 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Eli Manning had an uninspiring day on the field but a solid one in fantasy leagues in Week 1 against the Cowboys. With the Giants down for most of the game, Manning put up 44 passing attempts, completing 30 of them for 306 yards and a TD. He took what the Cowboys gave him, throwing accurately in the middle of the field, but he never threatened to break any big plays. This will likely be the story for Manning until he is eventually replaced by rookie Daniel Jones. If he can avoid turnovers, he’ll be an OK start in a pass-heavy offense, but he’ll lack the consistency and upside to target outside of two-QB leagues.--Eric Samulski - RotoBaller
