7 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has been told by general manager Dave Gettleman and new head coach Pat Shurmur that he'll be back as the starter in 2018. The 37-year-old Manning struggled mightily in 2017, but to be fair he lost his two best receivers -- Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall -- to season-ending ankle injuries early in the year. Manning may only play for a couple more seasons, and he said he'd have no issues with the team selecting a quarterback in the draft with the second overall pick. A bounce-back season wouldn't be surprising for Manning in 2018, but at his age, his arm strength has deteriorated, and his fantasy ceiling certainly isn't as high as it once was.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
