3 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Elias Diaz went 1-for-5 with an RBI double and a strikeout in a 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday. Diaz only came up with one hit in the ball game but it was a clutch one. He delivered a two-out RBI double off of Julio Urias to tie up the contest at 4-4. The game would go into extra innings where the Rockies would eventually lose. Diaz is slashing a lackluster .236/.303/.468 on the season but has posted career-highs in home runs (18) and RBI (41) over his 314 at-bats. He's split time evenly with Dom Nunez behind the plate but has outproduced him at the dish.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
