3 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Elias Diaz went 1-for-3 with a double and a strikeout in a 5-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday. The Rockies couldn't get a whole lot going on offense as they collected just three hits as a team. Diaz picked up the only extra-base hit with a double off reliever David Price. The 30-year-old backstop has been hot over the last seven games, slashing .320/.393/.720 with two home runs, four RBI, and nine runs scored. Overall, he's got a subpar .234/.300/.456 batting line with 15 home runs and 34 RBI across 261 at-bats. The counting stats are decent for a catcher that splits time but his rate stats leave a lot to be desired.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
