Elias Diaz Homers In Sunday's Loss
3 years agoCatcher Elias Diaz went 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk in a 3-2 loss to the Dodgers on Sunday. Diaz gave the Rockies a 2-1 advantage in the top of the second inning when he took starter Josiah Gray deep for a solo home run, his second in the last three games. He would also reach base with a walk in the contest. The 30-year-old catcher has been great over the last 30 games, crushing eight home runs and driving in 16 runs. For the year, he's still slashing a lackluster .211/.281/.394 with nine home runs and 20 RBI over 180 at-bats. He got off to a poor start this season but he's been fantasy relevant since mid-June and should continue to be a power asset at the catcher position.
