5 years agoNew York Jets running back Elijah McGuire had five catches on five targets for 35 yards in the team's final preseason game Thursday. McGuire had less success on the ground as he was only able to pick up 29 yards on 14 carries for an abysmal 2.1 yards per carry. McGuire is fighting for a roster spot behind Le'Veon Bell and Ty Montgomery who were absent Thursday. McGuire's tenure with the team and ability to catch passes out of the backfield could give him an edge up on making the team, but he won't carry any fantasy value unless there is an injury to someone above him on the depth chart.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
