3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie running back Elijah Mitchell (finger) did not practice on Wednesday after having surgery on Tuesday to repair a fractured finger. Head coach Kyle Shanahan did say that he felt confident that Mitchell should be able to play on Sunday, but fantasy managers should have a back-up plan, just in case. At the very least, we should see Mitchell's work in the passing game dialed back as he plays with a broken finger, which could mean more work for Jeff Wilson Jr., who is certainly worth a stash in deeper leagues as we see how Mitchell's week of practice plays out. With the 49ers taking on the Jaguars this week, the team may not want to use Mitchell more than they need to.--Eric Samulski - RotoBaller
