3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell (rib, finger) is expected to be active for Sunday's game against the Vikings, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Mitchell suffered the injury in Week 10 and did not suit up against the Jaguars last week. Through seven games, the rookie has totaled 633 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns. However, he now has legitimate backfield competition from Jeff Wilson Jr. It remains to be seen how the two will split the workload on Sunday, but it's obvious that Wilson will eat into at least some of Mitchell's touches. As such, the latter should be treated as nothing higher than a low-end RB2.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
