3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell (rib) will play on Sunday despite being listed as questionable. The rookie has looked fantastic this season, averaging 92.6 scrimmage yards and 0.6 touchdowns per game played. Over the last two weeks alone, he has rushed for 244 yards and a pair of scores. With that said, a couple of factors hinder his Week 9 fantasy value. For starters, San Francisco is opposing a very strong Cardinals run defense. Additionally, Jeff Wilson Jr. is back, meaning that the 49ers' crowded backfield could feature Mitchell, Wilson, Trey Sermon, and JaMycal Hasty. With such a surplus of fresh legs, Mitchell could be on a snap count this week. Still, fantasy managers should treat him as a mid-range RB2.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
