Eloy Jimenez Absent From Lineup Against Twins
2 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (leg) is not in the starting lineup on Saturday, as expected, against the Minnesota Twins. Jimenez is dealing with right leg tightness, and manager Tony La Russa said recently that he doesn't expect the 25-year-old to return before next week's All-Star break since he has yet to resume running. The White Sox will play it safe with Jimenez after he spent time on the injured list with a similar injury already this year. He'll wrap up his first half with a .197/.239/.303 slash line with two home runs and 13 RBI in only 19 games played due to injury. AJ Pollock will start in left field and hit sixth on Saturday against Twins right-hander Dylan Bundy. Pollock has been a disappointment in a part-time role in his first year in Chicago, hitting .231/.272/.339 with four home runs, 26 RBI and one steal in 72 games.
