Eloy Jimenez Could Be Activated Wednesday
2 years agoChicago White Sox skipper Tony La Russa said that outfielder Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) could be activated from the injured list on Wednesday. Jimenez has been cleared to play the outfield, but the team will likely avoid playing him in the field for three straight days in the early going. The 25-year-old is back with the team after hitting .246 with two home runs, seven RBI, eight runs scored and 12 strikeouts in 17 rehab games for Triple-A Charlotte, and he should play regularly for the Pale Hose once he's fully healthy and eased in following his stint on the 60-day injured list. Jimenez hasn't played in the big leagues since late April and has just eight hits in his first 36 at-bats, but his power/speed upside makes him worth rostering in all fantasy formats.
