Eloy Jimenez Crushes Seventh Homer
3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's victory versus the Toronto Blue Jays. Jimenez sent a rocket to center field off of Trevor Richards to give the White Sox an insurance run in the top of the ninth inning. The talented outfielder had been in a bit of a funk entering the game, but he remains one of the most talented young sluggers in the league. Prior to returning from the injured list on July 26, Jimenez had missed the entire season with a torn left pectoral muscle. The outfielder also briefly dealt with a groin injury, but appears to be fully healthy at the moment. For the year, Jimenez is hitting .288 with seven home runs and 25 RBI. Managers should continue to have confidence in the power hitter.
