Eloy Jimenez Expected To Miss Rest Of Regular Season
4 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (foot) is not in the plans for this weekend’s series versus the Cubs due to the foot injury that he sustained Thursday. The fact that Jimenez is merely day-to-day and not requiring a stint on the injured list likely bodes well for his chances of suiting up during the Wild Card series. He finishes 2020 having slashed .296/.332/.559 with 14 home runs and 41 RBI in 55 games. He’ll carry considerable fantasy intrigue into next year, as well as for any postseason games that he is able to suit up for. Expect Adam Engel to hold down left-field duties in Jimenez’s absence.
