Eloy Jimenez, Josh Harrison Won't Play Thursday
3 years agoChicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa said that neither outfielder Eloy Jimenez (ankle) nor infielder Josh Harrison (back) will play on Thursday against the Seattle Mariners, but the skipper considers both players day-to-day. "Maybe they'll talk me out it by tomorrow morning," La Russa joked. "I can be intimidated." X-rays came back negative on Jimenez's ankle after he fouled a pitch off himself on Wednesday, and if he's not playing Thursday, he should be in the lineup by Friday or later this weekend. The 25-year-old has a homer, seven RBI and two runs scored while slashing .235/.263/.412 in his first 19 plate appearances over the first five games of the 2022 season.
