4 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (foot) will be absent from the lineup in Game 2 of the White Sox's wild-card series against the Oakland Athletics. Jimenez was hopeful that he would be in the lineup Wednesday, particularly after missing Game 1. It will be outfielder Leury Garcia taking his place again in left field and batting eighth. Garcia went 0-for-4 in Game 1 on Tuesday. Jimenez has a spot on the playoff roster, and manager Rick Renteria said they are hopeful that he will be available off the bench on Wednesday.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
