Eloy Jimenez Sustains Significant Injury, Not Season-Ending
3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) suffered a "significant" injury Saturday, but it is not expected to end his season, per manager Tony LaRussa. While attempting to run out a ground ball, he appeared to trip over first base, causing him to fall down awkwardly. He was down on the ground for a while and carted off the field. The 25-year-old is expected to be placed on the injured list. Fantasy managers should stash Jimenez on their roster for now but expect to be without the White Sox outfielder for a while. Gavin Sheets is expected to have an uptick in at-bats while Jimenez is sidelined.
