Elvis Andrus Hits Grand Slam Saturday
2 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Elvis Andrus hit a grand slam Saturday night, pitching in in a 13-0 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Andrus has slashed .276/.311/.414 in 14 games and 58 at-bats since joining the club. He went 2-for-5 with two runs scored in Saturday's game. Andrus now has a seven-game hitting streak, and he's taken over the starting shortstop job. Despite the team's rough year, Chicago still has all the pieces to be a dominant offense, and Andrus could offer value to desperate fantasy managers in deeper leagues.
