Elvis Andrus Lands On IL Due To Back Strain
4 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus has been out of the starting lineup since Sunday due to a lower back strain that will force him to hit the 10-day injured list. Isiah Kiner-Falefa has shifted over to shortstop to cover for Andrus, who had started each of Texas’ first 20 games. A staple of the club’s lineup, Andrus has scuffled at the dish this season, slashing .184/.244/.250 through his first 21 contests. Aside from deep season-long formats, Andrus can likely be left on the wire even upon his activation.
