4 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets goaltender Elvis Merzlikins will be the team's starter on Sunday against Chicago and he has a chance to pick up his third straight victory. The 26-year-old Latvian has beaten Tampa Bay and Florida in impressive fashion, stopping 63 of 67 shots across the two contests. He has a 2-1-1 record for the season with a 2.94 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage. The Jackets are hot with three wins in their past four games, so Merzlikins is in a solid spot to improve his record, but he'll face an in-form Kevin Lankinen in the opposite goal.
