4 years agoSan Diego Padres reliever Emilio Pagan took the loss Sunday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, serving up a game-clinching three-run homer. Summoned to protect a two-run lead in the eighth, the maligned Pagan relinquished a two-out blast to D-backs third baseman Eduardo Escobar. The 29-year-old has been a major bust since joining the Friars this offseason, carrying an 8.31 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and allowing a nine percent barrel rate through nine outings. After a breakout 2019, Pagan was a fantasy sleeper for strikeouts and ratios. Unable to deliver, he's now waiver wire fodder.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
