Emmanuel Sanders Posts Season-High 12 Catches, 122 Yards
4 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders caught 12 of 14 targets for 122 receiving yards in a 30-27 victory over the Chargers. Sanders' stats were all season-highs and it could have been an even bigger day, as he was tackled at the one-yard line. It's his biggest statistical output since, ironically enough, his huge game against the Saints last year as a member of the 49ers. Over the last three weeks, Sanders has averaged 9.3 targets, 7.3 receptions and 90.3 receiving yards. He has found his niche in this offense and should be looked at as a WR3 option moving forward, regardless of the status of Michael Thomas (ankle). Sanders gets a Week 6 bye to rest his 33-year-old body.
