Kike Hernandez Hits Clutch Two-Run Home Run Saturday
7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers super utility man Kike Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Giants. Hernandez clubbed a hanging curveball from Madison Bumgarner into the left-centerfield seats in the fifth inning to give his team the go-ahead lead. The 26-year-old now has a .218 batting average with 10 HR and 22 RBI in 177 plate appearances. While the HR total and multi-position eligibility are nice, Hernandez's overall production coupled with his inconsistent playing time leaves him with little fantasy value.
