2 years agoBoston Red Sox infielder/outfielder Enrique Hernandez (hip) will take batting practice on Friday but isn't close to game action. He has been sidelined since June 7 due to an injured hip. The 30-year-old won't be ready to return until late August at the earliest. He slashed .209/.273/.340 with four home runs, 24 RBI, and 27 runs over 238 plate appearances before landing on the injured list. Hernandez is progressing in his recovery, but a better timeline for his return will be set once he begins a rehab assignment.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
