7 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Erasmo Ramirez has been placed on the disabled list with a strained upper back. The injury affects his tricep and manager Scott Servais told reporters that Ramirez could miss a month or more with the injury. Ramirez struggled in his only two starts of the season, allowing seven home runs and 11 runs in only 9 2/3 innings. The Mariners may opt to skip the fifth spot in the rotation with some upcoming off days, but don't count out Triple-A pitcher Ariel Miranda getting another crack at starting.--Joey C - RotoBaller
