7 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Erasmo Ramirez (shoulder) will not throw a bullpen session until the last week of the spring, which makes it unlikely that he'll be ready to start April 11 when the team needs a fifth starter for the first time. Pitchers Robert Whalen or Ariel Miranda could be used to fill in until Ramirez is ready. Ramirez had a nice 3.92 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in his return to Seattle last year in the second half in 11 starts, but his career 7.0 K/9 leaves a lot to be desired for fantasy owners. He may not be ready until mid-April.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
