Eric Ebron A Low-End TE2 For Week 1's Matchup Vs. Bills
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers tight end Eric Ebron will take on the Buffalo Bills in the season opener in Week 1. Ebron faces some stiff competition in the tight end room in the form of second-round rookie Pat Freiermuth in 2021. Ebron turned in a decent 2020 campaign, catching 56 balls for 558 yards and five touchdowns over 15 games. While Freiermuth has plenty of potential, Ebron should outsnap him in the early-going this season as the former acclimates himself to the NFL. There is some hope for Ebron this weekend as the Bills do provide a plus matchup for tight ends. They were good against opposing wide receivers in 2020 but they allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to the tight end position. Fantasy gamers most likely have a better tight end option at their disposal for Week 1 but Ebron might be worth a look as a dart-throw, value option in DFS tournaments this weekend.
