Erick Fedde Could Rejoin Starting Rotation On Tuesday
2 years agoWashington Nationals pitcher Erick Fedde (shoulder) could rejoin the starting rotation Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners. He has been sidelined since July 30 due to a shoulder injury. The 29-year-old allowed three hits and one walk while striking out four across four scoreless innings in Wednesday's rehab start with Triple-A Rochester. Barring any setbacks, he is expected to be activated from the injured list ahead of Tuesday's game. Fedde owns a 5-7 record, 4.95 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 70:47 K:BB over 92 2/3 innings in 19 starts. Washington could bump Cory Abbott from the starting rotation or decide to use a six-man rotation once Fedde is activated.
