Entering the contest hitting an abysmal .125 in June with one extra-base hit, Hosmer's clutch two-run blast was his first long ball since May 27. The offensive drought has dropped the 31-year-old's slash to .253/.312/.367 with six homers, four steals and 56 runs-plus-RBI through 250 plate appearances. Hosmer's .285 xBA provides steady average support for fantasy squads, but he'll never possess the prototypical first baseman profile.
