Eric Hosmer Exits Tuesday's Game Against Atlanta Early
2 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Eric Hosmer (knee) exited Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Braves with a left knee contusion. He was removed from the game after fouling a pitch off himself during the bottom of the fifth inning. The 32-year-old went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before leaving. Bobby Dalbec replaced him in the lineup. The severity of Hosmer's injury is unknown, and he will be evaluated after the game. Hosmer is slashing .268/.336/.389 with eight home runs, 41 RBI, and 35 runs in 94 games in 2022. Dalbec should see an uptick in at-bats if Hosmer misses any games. Stay tuned.
