2 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Eric Hosmer isn't in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Bobby Dalbec will start in his place, batting eighth and playing first base. This is a simple rest day for Hosmer, who is hitting just .244 against righties and owns a 7-for-34 (.206) line through 10 games with Boston. He should be back in the lineup when Boston opposes Baltimore on Friday.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
