4 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman Eric Hosmer went 3-for-4 with two doubles and six RBI on Opening Night against the Arizona Diamondbacks. After singling early, Hosmer later laced consecutive clutch bases-clearing two-baggers to secure the victory for the Friars. The huge offensive night is a major boost for the maligned first baseman and if Friday is any indicator, he’ll have plenty of run-producing opportunities this season.
