4 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman Eric Hosmer (shoulder) was removed from Friday's game against the Astros. The veteran was hit in the right shoulder by a pitch in the first inning. He remained in the game to run the bases but was subsequently replaced by Jorge Mateo in the second. Hosmer should be considered day-to-day. However, his status for Game 2 of the series with Houston is up in the air.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
