4 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman Eric Hosmer (stomach) is out of the lineup again Thursday against the San Francisco Giants. Hosmer is off to a hot start on the field with a 1.583 OPS, homer and seven RBI but Thursday will be his fourth missed game out of seven. The ailment is apparently not related to COVID-19 but the absence is increasingly concerning. Hosmer’s climbing fantasy stock after Opening Weekend should pump the brakes until the severity of his injury is known. Infielder Ty France will start at first base and is a bargain-basement DFS option against Giants starter Kevin Gausman.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
