3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers left-hander Eric Lauer (groin) was scratched from his spring start on Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox due to groin discomfort. He's expected to miss one turn and then get back on track, according to manager Craig Counsell. Right-hander Jason Alexander will get the start on Tuesday instead of Lauer. As long as the 26-year-old right-hander doesn't miss any more spring work, he should still be on track for the start of the regular season. He had a solid 3.19 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 23.9% strikeout rate and 8.4% walk rate in 118 2/3 innings over 24 appearances (20 starts) for the Brew Crew in his second season with the team in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
