Eric Lauer Tosses Seven Strong In No-Decision
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Eric Lauer tossed seven strong innings on Saturday, but settled for a no-decision as his club fell to the Giants 2-1. The southpaw allowed just one run on two hits and three walks while striking out four in the 108-pitch effort with the only run coming off a Darin Ruf homer in the sixth. After a superb start followed by an underwhelming June, Lauer has turned his play back up a notch with four earned runs allowed over 18 IP so far in July. On the season, he sits with a respectable 3.64 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with 100 K through 96 1/3 heading into the All-Star break.
