4 years agoChicago Cubs second baseman Eric Sogard went 2-for-3 with a walk and one RBI on Tuesday versus the New York Mets. Sogard had two of the Cubs four hits on the evening and came through in the bottom of the fourth inning to knock in outfielder Jason Heyward from second to give the Cubs the lead and continue a rally with two outs in the inning. Sogard was a late addition to the lineup when second baseman David Bote (illness) was scratched with an upset stomach. Sogard has been platooning with Bote and will also have to compete with prospect Nico Hoerner in the near future. Sogard is a good contact hitter and his best value is in DFS leagues.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
