7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers first baseman Eric Thames went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, two runs, one RBI and a walk in the 5-3 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Thames has newfound success at the second spot in the batting order, as he now has four home runs in the month of April and three home runs in his last four games. Thames will continue to have everyday security at first base until Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain return from injury, but even then, he may be too good to take out. He now owns a .235 batting average with a whopping .997 OPS this season. If you're in need of power, look no further than Thames.--Caden Inaba
