6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers first baseman Eric Thames (thumb) has now been cleared to resume hitting from the team doctors. Thames has been on the disabled list now since April 25 and is so far on schedule to return in his four- to six-week timetable. He will most likely do a rehab assignment shortly before returning to the team. With Jesus Aguilar emerging as a solid option at first base for the Brewers, it will be interesting to see how Thames is utilized. He'll most likely lose playing time as a result, though, meaning he won't hold much fantasy value in shallow leagues.--Caden Inaba
