3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Erick Fedde (oblique) has been activated from the injured list and will get the start Tuesday against the San Diego Padres, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reported. Fedde has been sidelined since June 27 with an oblique strain. The 28-year-old's return seems rushed, but may be necessary for a Nationals team dealing with multiple injuries and depth issues. Fedde had found his groove in June before being sidelined, however, recording a 2.81 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 14 strikeouts through 16 innings pitched. He has some fantasy upside, but managers may want to hold off to see how deep he can pitch into games after returning from the oblique injury. A matchup against a potent San Diego offense isn't exactly welcoming, either.--Chelena Goldman
