Erick Fedde Takes Ninth Loss Sunday
3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Erick Fedde was handed his ninth loss of the season Sunday by the New York Mets. Fedde went 5 1/3 innings, allowing six runs (five earned) on eight hits and a walk. The unearned run came on a balk in the bottom of the first inning. Fedde also struck out six batters. Fedde has a 5.17 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 31 1/3 innings across six August starts. These numbers are quite similar to his year-long figures, so fantasy managers have little reason to expect a turn-around in the final weeks of the season.
